Playing with Dolls

Ava Lounge Jacket and Maya Butterfly Blouse

Well, can't say I've been working much on my Chanel Style jacket.  I have been playing with Dolls, however.  Here is a sneak peak of some of the patterns I will have available pretty soon.  This is just from my own little photo shoot to see which wigs work best with which outfits and also my first opportunity to be putting outfits together.  I'm also planning on auctioning off the outfits on eBay, after the professional photo shoot and before the patterns are ready for sale.  They are one of a kind and so cute!  I just can't help myself.....

Mia Dress
I'm not thinking this wig is working, but the dress looks good!

It ties in the back just like the human version

 More styles coming soon!

My Latest Obsession - Doll Cothes

Above are some photos of my finished project from the Liberty Jane Design Academy class that I took in October.  We were charged with reproducing an outfit from one of several images Cinnamon (Liberty Jane), gave us at the beginning of the course.  I had so much fun making this outfit, finding all the fabrics, trims and even the wig!  I'm currently in the process of turning all my other patterns from my Bonjour Teaspoon Pattern Line, into patterns for clothing that fits American Girl and other 18" Dolls.  I'll keep you all up to date on my progress.

As you can see, I chose outfit #3. Some of the other participants made versions of the other outfit designs and did wonderful jobs.

Here is my 3/4 sleeve boat neck tee.  The pattern will be available soon.

Lanie's Escapades - Episode 1

I'm So excited!  Emma's mom just made me this terrific little yellow dress from Liberty Jane Patterns. It's so cute and I just love the little belt that Emma chose to go with it.  Let's go outside while the weather is still warm. I think it's going to rain this weekend.

I needed to throw on this little shrug because it wasn't as warm as I thought to begin with.  It's very cute, made out of a knit jersey stripe.  Emma's mom, Jennifer, is still working on the pattern.  She thinks it needs to be just a little bit bigger.  What do you think?

I really love the purple flowers behind me.  And this bush is shading me from the sun.
Going to a party now.  Maybe I should put some shoes on!  Until next time - Lanie!
