My name is Jennifer Serr. I'm a mom, wife and small time entrepreneur who lives in Alameda, CA. Alameda is an island off the coast of Oakland, near San Francisco. It's a great little community of families, individuals and businesses. We have tree lined streets, lovely old fashioned homes, good schools, good food, and are starting to have good shopping too. Another amazing thing about Alameda is that there are lots of amazing crafters who live here. I'll be sure to post about my favorites soon! I have 3 separate sewing related businesses. I teach sewing, craft home goods and apparel from recycled textiles and make wedding gowns. My businesses are evolving daily as I figure out what works best for my family and lifestyle. I'm committed to keeping my businesses sustainable. I use recycled materials and local resources whenever possible. I like to say that I'm saving the world one pillow at a time.
